Join us for Connection Camp.
An immersive experience for beginners and seasoned riders alike.
Bramblewood Stables is leading the way in exploring a very different approach to working alongside and riding horses. Our farm is a community center where so many people come to explore themselves, the beauty of nature, and all the gifts that the ancient art of farming brings to the world. Our youth camps are built to support empowerment, emotional wellness, and creative problem solving with the horses as our guides.
We believe that new riders need to spend so much time getting to know these amazing creatures on the ground before swinging a leg over their back. We’ve restructured our camps to reflect the paradigm shift that is happening in the horse world with an emphasis on working with horses on the ground so that our kids can explore every aspect of farming, horsemanship, creative thinking, and independence.
Skills your child will explore in camp:
Self -Awareness
Tools to assist with fears
Emotional regulation
Leadership
Decision-making
Empowerment
Boundary-Setting
How empathy helps us build community
Goal-setting
How to identify and utilize strengths
Creativity in horsemanship and the arts
What a Connection Camp Day Looks Like:
10:00 AM: Arrive and check in
10:30 - 11:00: Settling in to the barn atmosphere through mindfulness exercises, interactive exploration with the animals, farm chores, and community building with other campers.
11:00-11:30: Introduction to Connection based training with the horses on the ground.
11:30-12:30: Taking our new-found awareness into the ring with the horses where we’ll explore more groundwork or riding, depending on the length of the camp, or learning to problem solve the questions that come up as we learn how to speak horse language and in turn learn so much about ourselves.
12:30-1:00: Using art and writing in fun ways and experiential learning in nature as ways to document our horse journey.

Please Note:
Horses are the heart of all we do at Bramblewood and because of this, our emphasis is on unmounted work, on the ground, with the horses. Riding is not the focus of these camps.
Riding is not the focus of camps because we want your child to grow as a human and to explore the gifts horses give us in the most compassionate, complete, and knowledgable way.
Every aspect of our program is designed for the well-being of the horse and the growth of our participants. Because of this, we ask that you trust our vision and try not to insist or demand that we change the program to suit what you believe a horse camp should look like.
Bramblewood Stables is changing the horse world. The old methods were harsh on the horses and tough on the riders. There is a better way. We teach it daily. Come join us.
Learning to ride is a pursuit that takes years and years. Our camps are designed for both beginning and experienced riders to expand their equine literacy and learn valuable lessons that often are not explored in traditional riding programs.
Connection Camp participants will learn so much about themselves and how to better navigate the world. The horses are amazing teachers. We are so glad that you joining us.
